Croydon Vineyard Estate is situated on farmland that dates back to the early Cape Settlers of the 17th Century. When the estate was first developed it was decided that all houses are to be built in the Cape vernacular style and uniformly painted white.
Private gardens have been laid out in a variety of styles from fynbos to formal lawns and flowerbeds. In between the well-spaced houses are rows of vines which are harvested early each year to produce a variety of wines.
In addition to the relaxing vista of the seasonal colour change of the vines, Croydon Vineyard Estate also has plenty of open space for recreation. Along the gentle flowing stream you will find a children’s play area and a jogging/mountain biking track around the secure estate. A large expanse of grassland next to the dam attracts plenty of birdlife.
The Croydon clubhouse is used as a meeting place for residents and hosts various events throughout the year. On Friday night the Estate’s wines are served and residents are encouraged to come and meet their neighbours. A large open air swimming pool adjoins the club house and a well equipped gym is available for the use of owners.
A generously proportioned function room with an adjoining professional kitchen occupies the lower level of the clubhouse. This is used for resident’s meetings, social gatherings, family dinners and is available for owner’s private functions. It also gives visitors an excellent view of the air conditioned cellar with Croydon wines maturing in oak barrels.
Croydon Vineyards produces three distinct categories of wine to suit all wine lovers’ pallets. Our winemaker created the Title Deed range, a range of easy drinking wines developed for your everyday enjoyment.
Croydon’s Covenant range showcases superior wines from our single cultivars. These wines are created from the purest grapes of the season, and left to mature into a well-balanced and full-bodied wine.
